Shelley and Jane

At the beginning of the year my mentee was distant and would barely speak to me. Since that time, we have become great friends! During the weeks of building my relationship with Jane it was a struggle and at times frustrating. But, it was all worth it! Not only for me but I know especially for her. My goal in the beginning was to become a friend to a little girl who needed one and I’m happy to say together we succeeded.

My most rewarding experience was when he asked me to hold his poster board during a science presentation.” – Officer Scott Novasky, LPD
